Eek! Almost one more week til we move into the new house! I'm so excited! But it's been busy for me. Between packing, regular household chores and watching Leah, I have been so short on energy! I think about all my subbies everyday and am so glad that you all have the patience to wait for me to post a new video hehe~ I promise I will start posting regularly again once we're all settled in :) It'll be a new atmosphere too so now you won't have to stare at the green wall behind me! Thanks again to all my subbies! I miss you all and will be back ASAP!!

Taylor Swift Inspired Makeup Look

Taylor originally had red lips with her look, but I decided to do something more nude because of the intensity of the eye :)

Meet my princess, Leah. She's full of beans and always so very happy. Her giggles, smiles, jibber jabbering and more; will melt your hearts effortlessly.

Born one month early on March 31st 2009, Leah was the most beautiful thing I have ever held and seen in my life. I always had a feeling we should expect an early delivery; Leah was quite the active baby inside. It was no surprise to me that she had come 5 weeks early. I was actually kind of glad. I couldn't wait to meet my little girl!

As a baby she was beyond perfect. Slept well, ate well and hardly ever cried. Oh how amazed I was that she was all mine.

The first year has flown by so fast, I wish that time would be a little more generous. Sometimes I close my eyes and see her standing there unaware of what just happened. She's already over 13 months old and I feel as if the days are cruel for not slowing down for me. Am I upset? Most definitely. But only for the reasons concerning her rapid growth and how father time could care less about slowing things down even just for a few days. I try capturing all moments on camera, but snapping photos and short videos can only do so much.

These days she's becoming smarter and smarter, fussier and fussier. Yet it's all worth it. Everyday is worth it. Even if it's tiring and frustrating; I still wake up everyday and get back up to do it all over again. Being a mother has taught me patience, gratefulness, and so much more. This is the greatest job ever, and I don't regret anything.

Her first words consisted of "Um-ma" "Ma-Ma" "Da-Da" "Doh-Doh" "Ouch" "No" "Gentle" and "Uh-Oh" ... Though her words were nothing genius, she sure likes to talk! She loves to play by herself in her room talking to herself as if she were a tween on the phone talking to all her girlfriends. I'm sure she has great stories to tell, but I just can't understand them quite yet. Oh how she makes me smile.

Leah is my most prized possession. I will love her, care for her, guide her and be her bestfriend forever and always.

How To Look Your Best In Pictures

Hey Beauties!~

As you may or may not know; aside from my passion for makeup artistry, I have a passion for photography. I often take tons of pictures of my baby girl Leah and also take quite a few of myself. In the past few years while enjoying photography, I've learnt a few tricks to get that perfect portrait. Below you'll find a list of tips and tricks that I use or do to achieve the best portraits.

Tip #1. Knowing how the muscles in your face work is one key to snapping the perfect portrait. Flexing the muscles can give you an instant face lift and slim down your face.

Trick #1. Flex the muscles in the face back as if you were to wiggle your ears.

Tip #2. Worried about how many chins may appear in your photos? Try contouring with a bronzer under your jaw line. It will create a shadow that will help hide the harshness of the extra skin under your chin.

Trick #2. If contouring doesn't seem to work, do what I do! Push your face forward and lower your chin slightly. Lots of celebrities do this to avoid double chin shots! It works fabulously.

Tip #3. Smile with your eyes, or "Smize" as the great Tyra Banks would say. If you're unaware of what she means or how to do this properly, your picture could be disastrous.

Trick #3. Smizing? While keeping your eyes relaxed, tense the muscles in your face to give it an instant face lift. Then squint your eyes ever so slightly as if you were trying to pick up the sexiest man alive with the gaze in your eyes. Over squinting looks horrid so practice in the mirror!

Tip #4. Avoid looking dead and ghostly! Try using a foundation that has NO SPF! I wouldn't recommend Revlon's Photoready Foundation even though it claims that it is "Photoready" it still has SPF and you'll look white.

Trick #4. Try MAC's Face and Body foundation. It has no SPF! :D

Tip #5. If you want a sexy, sultry, seductive portrait; try taking your picture under yellow lighting or at night using the night time setting on your camera. Yellow lighting hides flaws and make you look even more beautiful than you already are!

Trick#5. Yellow lighting. Night time scenes. Natural light can accentuate uneven skin, blemishes and dry skin! Unless you're having an awesome day with your skin, try avoiding natural light.

Tip #6. If you're taking a picture where your body is sideways towards the camera, try straightening your back, standing up tall but relaxing at the same time and putting your hand on your hip. Also try taking the shot on the side you look your best. For example, the left side of my face always turns out better.

Trick #6. Try giving your body a little bit of shape rather then standing straight as a pencil. Nothing uber couture, but something simple like placing your hand on your hip or bending one leg.

Tip #7. Don't lift your head up!

Trick #7. Lifting your head up is so unflattering! It makes you look chubby in the face and trust me, it's not your best angle. Try tilting your head down instead.

Tip #8. If you have smaller eyes, don't force them open! This is something I often see with ladies who have smaller eyes. Forcing your eyes open makes you look surprised and not pretty. Try to avoid this.

Trick #8. If you want your eyes to look bigger, apply white eyeshadow or liner on the inner corners of your eyes and even your waterline. Use black eyeliner to line the top and apply it slightly thicker. You can add circle lenses and false lashes if desired.

Tip #9. You don't always have to show your teeth. Forcing a smile will look unnatural.

Trick #9. Try pouting a little, smirking or smiling slightly. If done right, it'll be just as effective!

I know that this might seem like a lot to focus on while taking a picture, but with practice it'll start becoming natural.

Go To Look For MAY 2010

Hey beauties~

This month's "Go To Look" is really simple. The look consists of neutral eyes using browns, gold and sand colored shadows. Using brown or black liner, line your eyes thinly; then pair your neutral eyes with red lips and false lashes if desired.

This look may not be for everyone or for everyone everyday; but this is the look I am totally into at the moment~ Try it out and let me know how it goes!
